I love getting the opportunity to design a session that fits the personality and schedule of each client. The first step is deciding to take the plunge. Once you decide that it's time for some new pictures, we chat and begin designing your session. No two sessions are the same! We might meet at a lake with bathing suits and a picnic dinner, go to a winery and take pictures with the grapevines, go for a short hike at a beautiful park, or meet in your backyard and take pictures there. We can even do a lifestyle session in your home. The possibilities are endless!
Sessions are generally about 1 hour long, but that can vary depending on how things go. The session includes your digital images, which can be printed up to 8x10, shared online, or incorporated into your own photo projects. Canvases, framed prints, and other fun photo products can be purchased directly through the gallery or created with my help.
Capture this season of anticipation with a session designed specially for your growing family. We will meet before the session either in person or online to plan unique ways to celebrate your pregnancy - the sky is the limit! If you don't have any ideas, don't worry - once I get to know your personality I will be able to suggest some ideas.
Ideally maternity sessions occur between 5 and 8 months of the pregnancy - don't wait until the last minute and miss this special time!
Capturing the perfection of a newborn baby takes a great deal of patience, caution, and skill. It is important to me to never pose a baby in a way that might be dangerous, unnatural, or uncomfortable to your baby. I want to capture the perfect sweetness of your tiny baby - as he or she really looks. This is sometimes called "lifestyle newborn photography".
Babies are so perfect as they are, flailing arms, thigh rolls, sleepy smiles, and all. I want to capture what this phase of life is like for your family - how you hold your baby, how you love on your baby, how you feed your baby (if you are comfortable with that), as well as your baby's expressions. The best place for a newborn session is right in your home, even if it is messy. I have all kinds of things I can bring to help with the session, all you need to do is clear some space on the floor.
If this more natural style of newborn photography appeals to you, let's talk.
I love an opportunity to capture the candid moments of special occasions. These events always involve some combination of candid and posed pictures, and may even include capturing some of the details you spent so much effort to perfect. What I capture is really up to you (and up to what the event is!)
Here are some examples:
- Birthday party
- Bar or bat mitzvah
- Anniversary party
- Baby shower
- Bridal shower
- Wedding/engagement party
- First communion
- Any other event you can think of!
Don't be shy - reach out and get me to do the photography so you can enjoy the occasion you spent so much effort to plan.
Although cake smash sessions are usually reserved for toddlers around their first birthday, I would be happy to create one for a child of any age! If you tell me what you want the cake to look like, I will arrange for it to be professionally made and ready for the session, ready to go. All you have to do is get everybody dressed and ready.
My cake smash sessions always start off with some portraits starring the intended cake smasher with and without family. This session really doubles as a family portrait session. Once we have captured how nice the smasher looks, it's time to get messy! Budget about an hour to get all this accomplished.
